Harold Averkamp, a senior lecturer emeritus from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, and his son Matthew continue to develop the free accounting website AccountingCoach.com. The website was begun in 2003 and provides clear explanations for 31 accounting topics usually found in the first accounting courses in a U.S. college or university.


Harold Averkamp obtained his insights and ability to explain accounting from 25 years of teaching and from his consulting and business experience.


Harold Averkamp's goals for 2010 include adding audio and visual to the AccountingCoach website in order to make it easier for people to learn basic accounting.
